Contract Packaging
Services provided in the science, art and technology of enclosing or protecting products for distribution, storage and sale as contracted by an original equipment manufacturer (OEM). Contract packaging services support the design, evaluation, and production of packages. Packaging can be described as a coordinated system of preparing goods for transport, warehousing, logistics, sale, and end use. Packaging contains, protects, preserves, transports, informs, and sells.
Electro-Mechanical Kitting
A fundamental part of a Flexible Manufacturing system which enables the achievement of manufacturing economies and provides for the strategic deployment of products. Electro-Mechanical kits streamline material flow and increase material velocity in the supplying of workpieces, subproducts, parts and final products.
Inspection and Sorting
Third party inspection, containment and sorting of non-conforming products. Root cause of defect identification, corrective action implementation and material rework of suspect product and material. Can be either mechanical or visual and can be either manual or automated.
Inventory Management
Specifying the size and placement of stocked goods at different locations within a facility or within multiple locations of a supply network to protect the regular and planned course of production against the random disturbance of running out of materials or goods. The balancing of replenishment lead time, carrying costs of inventory, asset management, inventory forecasting, inventory valuation, inventory visibility, future inventory price forecasting, physical inventory, available physical space for inventory, quality management, replenishment, returns and defective goods and demand forecasting.
Material Staging
The movement, storage, control and protection of materials, goods and products in preparation for manufacturing, distribution, consumption and/or disposal. It consists of the methods, systems and related controls used to achieve these functions. Material staging practices range from simple palletizing to reusable packaging.
Supplier Validation & Verification
Third party objective analysis of current suppliers or of potential supplier’s quality systems and product or service capabilities. Onsite auditing of staff, processes, systems and facilities to enable the identification of core competencies and market strengths of strategic suppliers.
Surplus Stock Liquidation
The Marketing and Sale of excess or unallocated material on hand or in inventory. Presentment of product information such as Manufacturer name, manufacturer part number, product description, available quantity and cost. Products sold at discounted costs to improve turn and flow.
Third Party Logistics
(abbreviated 3PL, or sometimes TPL) The one stop shop for logistics services of part, or all of your supply chain management functions. Specialized integrated operations, warehousing and transportation services that can be scaled and customized to customer’s needs based on market conditions and the demands and delivery service requirements for our customers products and materials.
Trade Facilitation and Underwriting
Detailed credit analysis preceding the granting of trade terms, based on credit information furnished by the purchaser, such as business trade history, financial performance and lending relationships. The evaluation of readily available information, such as the borrower's credit report and the evaluation of the borrower's credit needs and ability to pay.
